Birthday cheers

This is my male card challenge. I keep being asked for male cards at my classes, hence the challenge.  I think it's pretty cool how the bricks turned out quite realistic looking.

I embossed the Very Vanilla card using the Brick Wall folder. I then used an off-cut of solid rubber stamp attached to a spare block to ink the bricks in Cajun Craze. A sponge or dauber would have gotten ink in the debossed area.

The splodges were stamped with Gorgeous Grunge stamps. 'Birthday' is from the Age Awareness stamp set and 'Cheers' is from the Greetings thinlits die set, it's a lovely font.

There are two 6" x 6" embossing folders in the new catalogue, this being one and Fluttering (butterflies) is the other.

Bohemian bird

It was time to give my bird builder punch an airing.  I hadn't used it in ages. Nor have I used washi tape much so this card was quite a new concept for me.  I love how it turned out and I'll definitely be using washi tape a lot more in future.

My Gorgeous Grunge stamp set came in handy again for the dotty interest on the front of the note card.  I finished off the inside and envelope with stamps from Bohemian Borders.

Choose Happiness

It's been pretty quiet on here the last couple weeks. I've not been idle though. In fact been very busy working on ideas for our stall at the annual street market where I live. Just two weeks to go and still lots to do. Yikes!! This year's theme is circus, which should be fun.  I'll share what we made later.

Today I'm happy to show you my 'screen card'.  I had this idea in my head the minute I saw the new Lots of Labels framelits and finally, voilà....  The stamp set is Choose Happiness. Love it.  I only received mine last week and can't believe I waited so long to buy this set.

Did you notice the envelope made with the new envelope paper? I love that it all coordinates beautifully.

Retirement congratulations

A special friend retired recently and this is the card I made for her. Do you like? I have seen this colour combination everywhere lately, magazines, decor, fashion, blogs, etc. It's Bermuda Bay, Cucumber Crush, Basic Black and Whisper White.  I wasn't keen on Cucumber Crush when I first saw it but it's growing on me, I guess it's all about colour combinations.

The stamp set is Wild About Flowers and the striped paper is from the new envelope paper pack which is available in neutrals and the 2015-2017 in colors.  It's a lighter weight paper, perfect for making envelopes and also great to use on your cards.  Thank you for stopping by x
