Something for Baby...

I needed to make a couple of baby girl cards and have used two stamp sets for these cards, Baby, We've Grown and Something for Baby, which has a coordinating set of dies.  I used the dies for the pram, bib on the back of the card and nappy pin on the flap of the envelope. Oh, and the little flowers on the bib card.

I used pretty in pink card, now retired, for the bib. I found the scalloped circle card in my stash already cut and so the idea of a bib was born. That, and the fact that I actually bought a pink bib with the text 'Born in 2014'.  I used Little Letters dies for the letters.  It's new in the current catalogue.  The numbers however were die-cut with a retired set.

I snuck in one of my favourite embossing folders on the pram card, together with it's coordinating large scallop die.

Wondrous Wreath

Hello stampers. I do believe this is the first Christmas card I have made this year!  That's terrible.  I normally start in September or October latest.

I used the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and coordinating dies for this card, in non-traditional colours. The jury's still out but I thought I'd share it anyway. I put crystal effects on the berries and ribbon to make them pop.  Crysal effects always gives a lovely finish to a project.

'Joy' is one of the dies in the Wonderful Wreath set of framelits.  I used the brushed gold card here.  And don't you just love the hardwood stamp used for the background?

Retreat - 6-8 February 2015

Hello stampers.  I have some exciting news today.  At last I and the lovely Cindy have organised what is going to be a fabulous, fun and exciting stamping retreat over the weekend of Friday 6th to Sunday 8th February 2015.  Times to be confirmed but we are planning to kick-off with a workshop on the Friday evening.  There will be three workshops on the Saturday and two on Sunday. You will also receive a bag of lovely goodies from me.

The venue for the retreat is: Duvale Priory, Exe Valley

Supplies for all projects will be provided. However, you do need to bring your own adhesive and basic tool kit - scissors, bone folder, tweezers, pokey tool, etc.

Places are limited. A few have already gone, so if you want to join in the fun book your place sooner rather than later. 

Room Rates are for Friday evening to Sunday evening and includes all workshops, meals and refreshments.

Double room (with en-suite)	Single occupancy: £265 pp Share: £185 pp
Twin room  (two single beds)*	Single occupancy: £230 pp Share: £170 pp
Bunkbed room*	Single occupancy: £210 pp Share: £150 pp
Daily rate	£50 pp per day (includes morning and afternoon workshops plus lunch and refreshments)

*Share a bathroom on the landing

I will require a £50 deposit to secure your place for the weekend and a £15 deposit for the daily rate.  The full amount to be paid by Friday 23rd January 2015.  Please note, the deposit is non-refundable unless we are able to fill your place with another booking.

Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit

Happy weekend stampers.  Today I want to show you the Many Merry Stars Simply Created Kit.  I can't wait for mine to arrive on Tuesday.  You can make 26 3D stars in 6 sizes from 5.1 cm to 38 cm in diameter.  The kit includes die-cut adhesive side strips, die cut stars, bows, tags, banners and laser cut wood snowflakes (love the snowflakes).  Also included are silver sequins and gold baker's twine.
