NOTE:
Effective immediately, stamp sets offered in clear-mount or wood-mount in the 2018–2019 annual catalogue that are carrying over into the 2019–2020 annual catalogue will be offered in clear-mount and/or wood-mount until existing inventory has been depleted or until 4 June 2019 (whichever comes first). If our inventory is depleted, you will be notified of the automatic switch to cling when placing an order for that stamp set. This means that you may end up purchasing select cling stamp sets (in carryover artwork) before they can be ordered from the catalogue! All carryover rubber stamp sets will be available in cling medium only, beginning 4 June 2019.

Take life by the reins

I am so pleased with how this card turned out.  Hope you like it too. I used Thick Whisper White card for the base and the lovely wood effect paper is from the Wood Textures DSP stack.

I stamped the horse on Whisper White card first, in Early Espresso, then masked it with another horse which I stamped on a large post-it note and cut out just inside the line.  I then used the Stamparatus to stamp the frame in Night of Navy. Being a large stamp, using the Stamparatus made stamping a breeze.  I also used navy for the greeting and Mossy Meadow for the trees.

I used Cajun Craze and Early Espresso watercolour pencils to colour in the horse. I added a 'flag' in Night of Navy, wrapped with a bit of copper thread, then popped the stamped layer with dimensionals on another piece of Whisper White, set off just a bit to tie in with the design of the frame.

Beauty Abounds Flourish

Today's card features the floral flourish and a butterfly from the Beauty Abounds set. This a fabulous new set in the 2019 spring/summer catalogue.  There is a beautiful set of coordinating thinlits dies, Butterfly Beauty, which is available on its own or as a bundle with the stamps. The 10% bundle discount will only be available till 3rd June. I hope they carry over to the 2019/2020 annual catalogue, but be aware, they won't be available as a bundle in the new catalogue, should they carry over.

I used Mossy Meadow for all the stamping on Whisper White card and Stampin' Blends makers for colouring in. The base card is Whisper White Thick card which I partially embossed using the Garden Trellis folder. A few Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins finish off the card. Hibiscus thank you

I have a few of my thank you cards for this month left. Bright and beautiful. This hibiscus, which I love, is from the Humming Along stamp set. There is also a set of dies to coordinate with the stamps.

They were pretty quick and easy to colour in. I used Stampin' Blends (alcohol markers) in Lovely Lipstick, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.  And for the background around the flower I used Bermuda Bay water colour pencil.
