Manhattan Flower Embossed Core'dinations

A really easy and fun card to make with a WOW factor, we thought so anyway.  Another one from class before Christmas.

The Core'dinations card was embossed with the Manhattan Flower folder then sanded using Stampin' Up!'s sanding system.  Really effective.  I used Shimmery White cardstock for the base card and the greeting is from Friendly Phrases stamp set on page 144.  The squiggly outline was done freehand in Cherry Cobbler to match the Core'dinations card.

I finished off the inside with a squiggly outline too, but not before I stamped that beautiful rose in the corner.  It's one of the stamps from Papaya Collage stamp set on page 75.  Thank you for visiting.

Lacy Brocade Patinafied

I think that's a new word I just made up. What I'm trying to say is I used the Lacy Brocade embossing folder for this faux patina technique. It's a technique I taught in December's class and this is the card we made. As some of my ladies couldn't make it in December, we will do this technique again sometime soon.

I should have taken a photo of everyone's cards because no two were the same. With several different colours used for this technique it's up to you how much of a particular colour you want to use.  All were beautiful.  I will take photos of all next time.

The card base, ink and seam binding ribbon is Always Artichoke. Everything else is on Very Vanilla card. The insert was stamped with that beautiful swirl from Everything Eleanor stamp set. The envelope too, but I forgot to include that in the photo. Thank you for visiting

More Floral Frames with Everything Eleanor

Actually, these were the first cards I made the day I received my set of Floral Frames dies.  I made a whole load of the smaller ones to put in with customer orders the last couple of months. I also finally treated myself to the fabulous Everything Eleanor stamp set and boy do I wish I'd bought it ages ago!!  I use it lots and was pleased to discover that the 'circle' image from this set fits nicely in the middle size Floral Frame die. You'll find Everything Eleanor on page 112 of the annual catalogue.

As always, I like to decorate the envelope and inside the card to match the outside. It's a nice touch and only takes a few seconds.

The base card is Whisper White, designer paper is Midnight Muse from 2012-2014 In Colour paper stacks, and inks are Midnight Muse and River Rock.   Thank you for visiting.

Stippled Blossoms and Floral Frames

I'm back. Wow!  It's been nearly three months since I last posted on my blog!!

I do have a number of projects to share with you in the coming week.  I'll not post the Christmas projects though as there are so many new products coming up.  For starters, get ready for Sale-A-Bration which is only a couple of days away.  Begins on 22nd January. Watch this space.

In the meantime... I love, love, love the Floral Frames set of dies and this beautiful two-step Stippled Blossoms stamp set - it's no surprise that I used both for this project.  I made this card a while ago but don't have it anymore to be certain of the colours,  I believe they are Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Certainly Celery and Old Olive and Always Artichoke. Both the Floral Frames and Stippled Blossoms are new in the current annual catalogue.

I have some more projects using the the Floral Frames and will share them with you in the next few days. Thank you for visiting.
