Sheltering Tree

Hello crafters.  A quick post today, another one from class this month.  A Valentine card?  If you're a regular visitor to my blog you will recognise this style of tent card that I tend to make - it doesn't collapse!

The stamp set is Sheltering Tree which is new in the spring-summer catalogue, as is the heart's border punch used to finish off the back of the card.

The hearts background on the card and envelope was done by lightly and randomly sponging through a stencil which I made with the heart border punch.  I simply punched along a piece of acetate and viola, a stencil.

As the card measures 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" we also made the envelope, quick and easy to do with the envelope punch board.   Thanks for stopping by x

Lotus Blossom

Hello crafters.  Happy weekend!

Today I want to share one of the cards we made in class this month using the three-step Lotus Blossom photopolymer stamp set.  This is a sale-a-bration set, meaning you can earn it for FREE if you place a £45 order.  There are of course more stamp sets and other items to choose from in the SAB brochure but this set has been the most popular so far.  It's been the first choice with every single one of my customers who have earned free SAB goodies.  No surprise!

We used ribbon (also a SAB item) in class but last night when I made more of these cards to put in a pretty box as a gift for a friend, I decided to use this cute bow from the Mini Treat Bag set of thinlits dies, another new product in the spring-summer catalogue. There are LOTS of dies in this set! Check it out in the products list below.

I used Stampin' Up!'s note cards and envelopes which are available in a pack of 20 cards and envelopes for just £5.50. Inks used are Coastal Cabana and Pear Pizzazz; and additional card stock are Whisper White and Coastal Cabana.

Thank you for visiting x

Best Day Ever

Happy Sunday crafters.  I've had a lovely time crafting this weekend, and doing some prep for my Stampin' day coming up at the beginning of February.

This afternoon I played with the Best Day Ever stamp set. This is a sale-a-bration set which you can earn for FREE for just a £45 spend. In fact you get to choose a free SAB item for every £45 spend. I used three 2014-2016 In Colors - Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow.

Love the cute bow. That was made using the super cool bow builder punch, new in the spring summer catalogue. I plan to use this A LOT.  The card was finished off with a few gold sequins, just a hint of bling :)

I tweaked this card a little so that I could enter this week's Mojo Monday challenge. Off to craft some more...  Thank you for stopping by x

Butterfly Basics

Hello crafters.  I hope you had a lovely weekend.  I had a play with my brand new Butterfly Basics stamp set and dies this afternoon - new in the spring-summer catalogue.  They can be bought separately or as a bundle giving you a saving of 15%. The stamp set is available in wood mount, clear mount and photopolymer.

If you don't have a copy of the spring-summer catalogue and sale-a-bration brochure, and don't already have a demonstrator, please let me know, I'd be happy to send you a copy.  In the meantime you can view both via the links in the right hand column.

The cards are a standard A5 and I used the medium size butterfly die.  As you can see, they are gate fold cards. I added small oval punch-outs on both halves to create the interlocking elements. A little extra strength was needed as the body of the die cut butterfly on its own wasn't quite strong enough.
