Magnolia Card and Gift Box

Today's projects feature two of my top 10 products in the 2019-2020 annual catalogue. I love magnolias and at last, a box that actually closes securely. Plus, it folds flat for storage, bonus. I know I used a belly band on this occasion but only because I wanted to add the magnolia as a decorative element. It was easier to attach to a band

The card is pretty simple, the magnolia says it all really. I just added some pretty Petal Pink Organdy Striped ribbon to finish the card.  The die set includes 3 x 3-petal dies, I used 2 of the largest and one each of the medium and smallest dies for the flower. I lightly sponged the centers of each in Petal Pink before adhering the layers.

I stamped on Petal Pink card in Mossy Meadow before die cutting the 2 pieces needed to make the box. All products used are listed below.

Stitched Lace 'floating frame' cards

Apologies, it's been a while since I last posted any projects.  It doesn't mean I haven't been busy stamping.  Last night I had a play with the Stitched Lace dies and the Daisy Lane bundle, both new in the 2019-2020 annual catalogue.

I have been wanting to do the 'floating dies' technique and so came up with a simplified version, sort of, using just the lace die for the 'floating' elements.

I used Purple Posy card for the base cards and Whisper White for the lace frame/topper. The daisies were heat embossed in white on Purple Posy card.  The leaves are in Highland Heather, punched out with the leave punch.
