Vintage leaves wet wiped

I hope you had a lovely weekend. It was a bit of a blustery one for most of us.  Luckily I didn't have to go out for very long which meant I had lots of crafting time :)

I taught the wet wipes techniques in my classes last November and I forgot to show you these cards. The smaller card was my practice piece - not bad for a first attempt. Basically you transform wet wipes into a mulit-colour ink pad with a few different colours of re-inkers.

There are lots of tutorials on the Internet for this technique which has been around for a number of years. I just never got round to trying it out until recently. Most people use several layers of wet wipes but I found that one layer worked just as well. I prepared my wet wipe in a SU stamp case and the re-inkers I used here are Tempting Turquoise, Hello Honey and Night of Navy.

You probably can't tell from the photo, but the splashes of dots were heat embossed in gold. The card is finished off with a small length of gold sequins and a gold thread bow. The stamp sets used are Gorgeous Grunge and Vintage Leaves which has a coordinating set of dies, Leaflets Framelits - they are available as a bundle, saving you 15%.

A little tip to stop your sequins falling apart when you want a strip to stay in tact, use the fine tip glue pen to run a little glue along the stitching - problem solved.

Botanical gift bag just for you

Keeping with the botanical theme, I made these gift bags to coordinate with my card in the last post. I used the gift bag punch board and made the largest size with 1 sheet of A4 Whisper White card stock.

The stamp set is Botanicals For You (a Sale-A-Bration set), and the colours are Rose Red, Delightful Dijon, Perfect Plum, Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant.

Want to get this stamp set for free?  Here's how it works - for every £45 spend you get to choose a free SAB product. Please contact me if you would like to find out more about sale-a-bration and all the goodies you could earn for free.  My contact details are on the left...

I used magnets for the closure on the first bag but it wasn't as secure as I would have liked. I need to get some slightly larger magnets. Hence the pretty ribbon on the second bag - it's the Dotted Lace Trim, available in the 2015-2017 In Colors. Very pretty.

Thanks for visiting. See you again soon x

Botanical birthday wreath

Hello there crafters. I was really pleased with how this card turned out. It's one of the projects I included in my classes this month. Lots of stamping, which we love, right?

The greeting is from Birthday Blooms stamp set, new in the spring/summer catalogue. And for the wreath I used Botanicals for You (a Sale-A-Bration stamp set). This set coordinates with the Botanical Blooms bundle in the spring/summer catalogue. Love it.  There is also a SAB Botanical Gardens vellum stack that coordinates. The larger flower and leaves were die cut using the Botanical Builder framelits.

Colours used are Rose Red, Delightful Dijon, Perfect Plum and Old Olive, stamped on thick Whisper White card stock.  The striped paper is from the 2015-2017 In Color DSP Paper Stack. You'll find a full list of supplies used at the bottom of this post...

Thank you for stopping by x
