Franky Fry Box

Hello stampers.  A quick post today to share this project that we made in class this month.  He's supposed to be scary but mine isn't so.  Hey ho, I think he's kinda cute.

He's pretty quick and easy to make using the Fry Box die, a couple of circle punches and marker pens in black and white. You will find all the supplies used further down.   Thank you for stopping by x

Kinda Eclectic with Curvy Keepsake Box

Hello again stampers. Here are the promised projects.

The card was a make-n-take from convention. I brought my pack home to make as I wanted to change it a little. The original design was stamped directly on the base card, however, I stamped mine on a separate piece of whisper white card and layered it on the base card with dimensionals.  I also added three butterflies in hello honey, rather than three punched out flowers.  As usual, I stamped on the envelopes too - front and back in this case.

Don't you love that Curvy Keepsake Box?  I know I do.  I just made this one to coordinate with the cards.  All the stamping is in 2014-2016 In Colors - Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss.

Thank you for stopping by... x

Freebies from Stampin' Up! Convention

I'm back from Stampin' Up! convention and what can I say?  It was in Brussels and it was AWESOME!  A few days of sharing, inspiration, training, stamping fun and MORE.  There were around 700 demonstrators from Europe and of course the wonderful Shelli Gardner (co-founder and CEO) and amazing US and European teams.

Look at the fabulous freebies we all received, a tad under £90 worth of products! Plus there were prize patrols where you get the chance to win additional goodies. Unfortunately that wasn't me, but there is always next time :)

I took lots of photos of the display boards which I will share over the coming days.  In the meantime, please come back tomorrow to see two projects I made with the Kinda Eclectic stamp set - the set that's right in the front in this photo...  x

Lovely Lace

Isn't the Lovely Lace embossing folder just sooooo pretty?  I love it.

This is one of the cards we made at my classes last month. I just cannot remember what the technique is called right now.  It is quick and easy though.  Simply ink the inside of the folder, the side that has the logo because that is the right side when embossed.  I like to use a brayer to ink the folder as you get a more even finish that way.  Then carefully place your paper or card in the folder and pass through the Big Shot, and viola! The ink only transfers to the de-bossed area making the embossed design 'pop'.

For this card I used Mossy Meadow for the base and ink.  The embossed paper is from Typeset DSP. It's layered on Very Vanilla card and finished off with Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon.

I finished off the inside and the envelope with one of the border stamps from Bordering Blooms photopolymer stamp set.  I have used that set sooooo much.
