Lacy Brocade Patinafied

I think that's a new word I just made up. What I'm trying to say is I used the Lacy Brocade embossing folder for this faux patina technique. It's a technique I taught in December's class and this is the card we made. As some of my ladies couldn't make it in December, we will do this technique again sometime soon.

I should have taken a photo of everyone's cards because no two were the same. With several different colours used for this technique it's up to you how much of a particular colour you want to use.  All were beautiful.  I will take photos of all next time.

The card base, ink and seam binding ribbon is Always Artichoke. Everything else is on Very Vanilla card. The insert was stamped with that beautiful swirl from Everything Eleanor stamp set. The envelope too, but I forgot to include that in the photo. Thank you for visiting

  1. Very classy Jenny. Saw this technique at the recent SU party you did and it is very impressive. I've had a go myself now at home but not sure if I did it exactly the same as you but the effects were good. I used different colours of ink (two or three on each sample) and then used a different colour of embossing powder for each sample. I'll put them up on my blog when I get a moment! Thanks Jenny for sharing your knowledge! Judy x
