Here's another technique I taught in class. We used the same stamp set but the card design was different - I'll post a photo soon.
The pretty daisy image is form this month's 'best of' stamp set, this one is Best of Flowers. See the flyer on the right for more information about these new stamps. The colours used are Whisper White and River Rock, which is another retiring colour.
So, first wipe an anti-static pad over the card then stamp your image randomly with Versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Next, carefully paint the flowers with white craft ink - I put a few drops of refill ink on an artist pallet and used a damp brush to paint. Leave to dry then using a marker pen in the same colour as the base card, fill in the center of each flower and half way on the petals leaving the tips white. Use a soft cloth or tissue to wipe off excess ink as the white embossing will resist the waterbased ink. This will make the embossing pop.
The daisy will punch out with nicely with the 1 1/4" scallop punch. You may notice that I cut out the one by the sentiment here, that's because I didn't have the punch when I made this card. I have now though :)

More Elements of Style
Here it is, the other version I mentioned in yesterday's post. I thought I'd try something a little different. We made this one in class too. Hope you like it. The Real Red is quite striking against black and white.

Elements of Style
Hello friends, I actually have a card to share. The main image and sentiment are from the Elements of Style stamp set, my all time favourite stamp. I'm gutted this set is retiring. I made the card a few weeks back and it's also one of the cards we made in class recently.
The colours used are all retiring, except for the basic black of course. That's Pretty in Pink, Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery. Don't worry though, Stampin' Up! are releasing ten new colours in the new annual catalogue which launches on 2nd July.
Oh, and that cute little butterfly is from Kindness Matters stamp set, also retiring. Thank you for visiting. Come back tomorrow as I have another version of this card to share with you.

MORE exciting news!
As part of Stampin' Up!'s silver anniversary celebration, they're bringing back some of the popular stamp images from the last 25 years and combining them into five sets, each with a different theme. There will be a new set each month until October 2013. Even better, along with some great classic images, each "Best of" set will also include a never-before-seen image! These sets are only be available in clear-mount. Oh, and the red line around the single flower indicates it can be cut out with the 1 1/4" scallop punch.
I have my set already! That's another great reason for being a demonstrator - you get to play with new products before they're officially released. Do contact me if you'd like to find out about becoming a demonstrator and would like to join my team.
And the second offer? These fabulous new single stamps!
Each of these stamps are sold separately and are available in clear-mount only. Basic Label and Oh Baby are £6.50 / 8.50 €; and Spec-tacular, Boutique Blossom and Hello, Hello are £6.95 / 9.50€. They will be available until 31 August 2013.
View the flyer here or via the link on the right.
Don't forget to also check out the retiring lists. You'll find links to the stamps and accessories lists on my Promotions page.
