Nuts About You

I have made a few of these tri-fold cards, each just a little different.  This is the only one I have taken photos of.  Further down you can see the elements before the animals and birds were added.  The front panel is folded to give that 'flap' where the tree is stamped and cut around for a little bit of added interest.

Wondering how I cut the card and panels? Well, I used Stampin' Up!'s Party Pennants Bigz L Die. I started off with a piece of Calypso Coral card 7 7/8" x 4 3/4" and scored on the long side at 2 5/8" and 5 1/4".  I then folded it concertina style and placed on the die so that the folded edges were just inside the cutting edges of the die shape. Only the top and bottom should cut when you pass it through the Big Shot.

Two of the white panels measured 2 3/8" x 3 3/4" and the front panel measured 4" x 3 3/4", scored at 1 5/8" on the 4" side. I passed all three through the Big Shot, cutting only the top to get the curved shape, before I stamped the tree that I cut around.

I used the Curly Label Punch to shape the bottom/legs of each panel.  The grass is 3/4" wide strips of Wild Wasabi card cut with the fringe scissors.

The stamp set used is Nuts About You, a hostess set in the current catalogue. Contact me to find out how you can get your hands on these stamps.

Finally, did you notice the cute envelope?  I used the envelope punch board of course and the paper is Wild Wasabi from the subtles DSP stack.  The label is from Four Frames stamp set and punched out with it's coordinating Decorative Label Punch.
