Zoo Babies step card

Hello crafters. Today I have a step card to show you.  It turned out just exactly how I wanted it to so I'm happy.  Hope you like it too. I was inspired by Katherine Skipper's tutorial

I followed Katherine's method for creating the steps but not the same dimensions. My card is a regular A6 size and I wanted four steps so I made a rectangular template measuring 1 1/2" x 1.3/8". My marker for moving the template along for each step was at 3/4" on the 1 1/2" side. If you watch the tutorial you'll know what I mean.

You'll also notice that the first 'step' in my card isn't actually a step, only the bottom three steps pop out. That's because I wanted the insert to fit nicely in the A6 base card and this was a neat way of achieving that.

I used SU stamp sets: Zoo Babies, Back to Basics Alphabet, Petite Pairs and Work of Art in Hello Honey, Pool Party, Perfect Plum, Chocolate Chip and Calypso Coral. The base card is Hello Honey and insert is Whisper White. The tiny hearts were punched out using SU's Confetti Hearts Border Punch.  Thank you kindly for visiting x

So glad you're here

I used the  long brush stroke stamp from Work of Art to create the gingham pattern on the banner.
