Happy birthday balloon

Hello crafters.  It's been a while I know but I haven't been idle. I'd like to show you this card I made to coordinate with a gift, a sewing kit to make a zip top bag. The fabric said cherry cobbler, soft suede, crumb cake and very vanilla to me, and so came together this design stamped using three stamp sets - Bohemian Borders, Butterfly Basics and Celebrate Today.  I love how it turned out and it was fun to do.  Hope you like it too.

The Balloon framelits coordinate with the Celebrate Today stamp set - which is how the balloon, bunting and little bow were die cut. I used the Bitty Butterfly punch for the butterfly and 1/8th" hole punch for the tiny circles at each end of the bunting.
Thank you for visiting x

Vintage leaf card and tag

Hello crafty friends. Today's 4" x 4" card features a quick and simple background technique which I first did back in May 2012 - see it here.

I inked a clear mount block, Crumb Cake in this instance, then 'stamped' the block on the card and there you have the background. I let the ink dry a little before stamping this fabulous maple leaf in Blackberry Bliss. The stamp set is Vintage Leaves and coordinating dies is Leaflets Framelits - the sets are available separately or as a bundle.

I used the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch to punch the ribbon slot where you see I added a little bit of ribbon as an accent.  I threaded the ribbon from the back through to the front and round to the back to secure in place. I used the envelope punch board for the envelope and coordinating liner - I used Bohemian DSP for the liner.

Finally, check out the leaf tag in the next photo. Thank you for stopping by, see you again soon x

Timeless elegance gift card

Remember the card in my previous post?  Here is a little 2 3/4' square gift card to coordinate.  When I cut the DSP for the main card I was left with two 2" x 6" strips which I cut down to 2" squares for gift cards.

I made the pretty rose using the Spiral Flower die. I embossed the die cut using the woodgrain folder then lightly sponged the edges in black before rolling to form the flower.

See you again soon x
