Banners Tag with Spiral Flower and So Very Grateful

Good morning crafters.  I hope the weather will have calmed down by the time this post is published.

I used three new products from the spring/summer catalogue on this special tag. Starting with the base card in Cherry Cobbler, it was cut with the second largest die from the set of six Banner Framelits dies. The Whiper White layer was cut with the next size down. The stamped image, in Night of Navy, is from the So Very Grateful stamp set. I'll be using this set for my next water colouring project.

Now for that beautiful rose. It was made with the new Spiral Flower die. I'm sorry I forgot to take a photo of the cut shape. I'll do that the next time I use the die. It is basically a spiral with a scalloped top edge.  You curl the spiral starting from the thinner end. Curl tightly initially, then let it unravel a little, or a lot, up to you depending on the look you want, then glue the base to the last scallop in the center of the spiral. As you can see, this one is unravelled a fair bit, then I squished it a little to flatten the petals a tad. It measures approx. 1 5/8" across.

I used Core'dination card stock in Cherry Cobbler for the flower.  After cutting I embossed it with the Square Lattice embossing folder then I sanded it.  I love the result. For the leaves, in Old Olive, I used the Pansy Punch first but it wasn't quite big enough hence the second layer using the Blossom Punch.  The banner measures approximately 2 3/8" wide by 4 1/8" long.  The actual die is 4 1/4" but I placed the top edge of the die off the fold of the card so as not to cut away the fold.

The third new product is the gold bakers twine, also available in silver.  I found that the gold strand tends to unravel so I tied a knot at both ends and am very pleased with the look. The ribbon is, you guessed right, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.
