Fall Fest on Curvy Keepsake Box

These were fun to make.  I used the Curvy Keepsake Box thinlits dies for the boxes.  Remember I said it was one of my favourite new products in the autumn/winter catalogue?

The stripes were stenciled using the stripes mask, as in the project I posted a few days ago.  I found that using sponges works better than daubers for this technique. The one in the middle was sponged in Tuxedo Black Momento on Pumpkin Pie card and the one on the right was sponged in Pumpkin Pie then the Black on Whisper White Card.  Hence the two different looks.  The one on the left was simply stamped directly on the card.

The stamp set is Fall Fest and is a photopolymer set.  I really like the photopolymer stamps however, you do get better results if you place a firm foam mat under the card before stamping.  I use my Stampin Pierce Mat. I have two, one for piercing and one for stamping :)

Thanks for stopping by x

Beautiful Bunch and Stripes Stencil

I used the Beautiful Bunch stamp set for the projects at my classes this month.  We decided this one could pass as a Christmas card.

I stamped the flower twice on vellum card stock with Versamark ink, remembering to wipe the vellum with my Embossing Buddy first, then heat embossed the the stamped images with white embossing powder.  I coloured the back of the flowers with my Blendabilities markers, one in Cherry Cobbler and one in Old Olive, before punching them out with the coordinating Fun Flower punch.

As you can see, I layered the red over the green then adhered them to that beautiful embossed border.  The embossing folder used is from Delicate Designs set of folders which comes in a pack of two folders.

The stripes were stenciled on Whisper White card using the stripes mask, a sponge and Cherry Cobbler ink.  Stampin' Up's decorative masks are available in Dots & Stripes and Hearts & Stars.  Only £2.75 per set - great value.

I stamped the back of the card and envelope to coordinate and finished off with a few sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim.

This is a 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" tent fold card with a difference. The thing with tent fold cards is they don't like to stand nicely.  The base of this one is like the baby card I made a last month, here. There is plenty of room to write your message on the back.

Lacy background with window frames

I had a lovely weekend visiting family in Fareham. Luckily the traffic was kind on Friday evening when I set off and Sunday afternoon coming back. It did, however, mean no crafting all weekend, which wasn’t so good as my pre-order from the autumn/winter catalogue is here and I’m itching to have a play.

I made these thank you cards last week and I would love to send one to each of the two customers who placed orders via my online shop over the weekend. I like to send thank you cards and to check that everything is okay with the order. Unfortunately they had un-ticked the box that says ‘allow my demonstrator to contact me’ which means I cannot see their name or address. If you were one of the customers and you didn’t mean to un-tick the box, please let me know and I shall pop one of these cards in the post to you right away. If you’d rather not be contacted, that is absolutely fine too. Either way, thank you both very much for your orders.

So, this lacy background stamp is pretty realistic I think. Take a look at the close-up photo. Do you agree? Card stock used are Crumb Cake and Pink Pirouette.  I used Crumb Cake ink to stamp the lacy background and Mossy Meadow for the text. The ribbon is also Mossy Meadow.  I didn't have brads in the same colour so I punched out circles with my 1/8" punch and applied Crystal Effects to create the 'dots'.

Back soon with another project.  Thanks for visiting x
