Geometrical Hooray

Hello crafters. I'm enjoying a lovely crafty day.  The sun is shining, my cat is curled up beside me and I'm watching snooker whilst crafting, sad but true :)

Thought I'd share this one with you today.  It's one we made in class last week using the new Geometrical stamp set and coordinating punch, which can be bought as a bundle, saving you 15%.

The buttons are die cut with the Sweet Buttons Embosslits dies and then coated with Crystal Effects.  The yellow 'button' (I guess you can call it a large card candy) was punched out with the 1/2" circle punch, then coated with Crystal Effects.  Once completely dry it was shaped with a ball tool. Just run the ball tool around the edge, on the wrong side, applying a bit of pressure until you get the desired dome shape.

The triangles for the 'bow' were stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. They were then punched out with the coordinating triangle punch.  For the Hooray greeting the stamp was first inked with Versamark then carefully inked with Gumball Green before stamping. Because we used Versamark first, it remained wet and sticky long enough to apply clear embossing powder before heat embossing.

As you can see, the 1" strip on the right hand side was embossed with the Chevron folder and then lightly sponged on the raised areas with Bermuda Bay ink.

Hope you like this one.  Thanks for visiting x
