Hand drawn blooms and banners

I have two cards to share today using the Banners and Blooms bundle.  The first was very quick and easy where I left the 'bloom' in white and simply layered it on a piece of Perfectly Artistic DSP. I cut a second banner to stamp the greeting on and then popped it up with dimensionals. I finished the card with a few Artistry Blooms Sequins, which is part of the same suite.

The second card obviously took a little longer and was very enjoyable to colour in with Stampin' Blends.  The popped up banner here is in Flirty Flamingo. I used one of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes dies to stamp the Thank you greeting on.

Beauty Abounds Flourish

Today's card features the floral flourish and a butterfly from the Beauty Abounds set. This a fabulous new set in the 2019 spring/summer catalogue.  There is a beautiful set of coordinating thinlits dies, Butterfly Beauty, which is available on its own or as a bundle with the stamps. The 10% bundle discount will only be available till 3rd June. I hope they carry over to the 2019/2020 annual catalogue, but be aware, they won't be available as a bundle in the new catalogue, should they carry over.

I used Mossy Meadow for all the stamping on Whisper White card and Stampin' Blends makers for colouring in. The base card is Whisper White Thick card which I partially embossed using the Garden Trellis folder. A few Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins finish off the card. Vintage leaves wet wiped

I hope you had a lovely weekend. It was a bit of a blustery one for most of us.  Luckily I didn't have to go out for very long which meant I had lots of crafting time :)

I taught the wet wipes techniques in my classes last November and I forgot to show you these cards. The smaller card was my practice piece - not bad for a first attempt. Basically you transform wet wipes into a mulit-colour ink pad with a few different colours of re-inkers.

There are lots of tutorials on the Internet for this technique which has been around for a number of years. I just never got round to trying it out until recently. Most people use several layers of wet wipes but I found that one layer worked just as well. I prepared my wet wipe in a SU stamp case and the re-inkers I used here are Tempting Turquoise, Hello Honey and Night of Navy.

You probably can't tell from the photo, but the splashes of dots were heat embossed in gold. The card is finished off with a small length of gold sequins and a gold thread bow. The stamp sets used are Gorgeous Grunge and Vintage Leaves which has a coordinating set of dies, Leaflets Framelits - they are available as a bundle, saving you 15%.

A little tip to stop your sequins falling apart when you want a strip to stay in tact, use the fine tip glue pen to run a little glue along the stitching - problem solved.
